A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Procurement Commodity Manager (f/m/d), you participate in project meetings to define procurement and supplier strategies that achieve optimal award results in cost, quality, and project goals. You maintain close communication with interface departments and coordinate internal communication, summarizing the award process for approvals. Additionally, you engage with relevant suppliers and monitor the market to select suitable partners for each project. You stay current and continuously develop through exchanges with procurement colleagues and Real Estate partners.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Define procurement strategies for national and international construction services, technical building equipment, and engineering services.
  • Create (electronic) tenders, evaluate offers, and conduct price and contract negotiations up to contract conclusion, including supplementary and claim management.
  • Conduct needs, market, and supplier analyses to ensure a long-term, cost-efficient, and timely supply in the required quality.
  • Perform worldwide market analyses to contribute to optimal procurement strategies and ensure cooperation with the best suppliers.
  • Implement and ensure the use of defined purchasing methods, processes, and systems in a digital procurement environment.
  • Manage suppliers for your material fields, including qualification, selection, evaluation, development, and classification.

What You Bring
  • Degree in architecture, civil engineering, industrial engineering with a focus on construction, or a commercial education with a technical construction background.
  • Several years of experience in project management or procurement of goods and services in the construction industry or real estate-related areas.
  • Strong negotiation skills, goal orientation, and proactive actions.
  • Knowledge in project management specific to procurement as well as contract law and MS Office.
  • Fluent in German and English
