A Snapshot of Your Day

The Portfolio Consulting Professional provides technical sales development for the reciprocating compressor Aftermarket service business, focused on CAPCON (Capacity Control) product portfolio, as well as other M&U (Modifications & Upgrades) solutions to meet client requirements. This exciting opportunity allows for domestic and global prospecting, project scope definition, cost estimation, proposal development, and hand-over of orders for project execution. This position shall be based in Painted Post, NY however working in a fully remote or hybrid capacity will also be considered.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Work safely following all corporate / local procedures and timely completion of all required training, including the following:

  • Manage CAPCON and M&U related inquiries to ensure necessary efforts are put forth to obtain acceptable orders to help meet profit and growth targets
  • Complete engineering evaluations and detailed calculations, as required, to determine optimum CAPCON and/or M&U solution to meet client requirements. This may include both OEM and oOEM compressor units
  • Prepare and maintain accurate costing, develop pricing strategy with respective sales personnel and make recommendations, as part of a team approach
  • Conduct sales coordination / bid clarification meetings with both clients and company sales personnel. Some travel may be required to visit client sites and other company sales locations
  • Facilitate order entry and commercial review of Purchase Orders and act as interface between Sales and the Factory [6 Bullet points outlining the responsibilities and challenges of the role that allow candidates to make an impact]

What You Bring

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in the compression industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and set goals
  • Work both on a team and independently with limited supervision
  • Working knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite as well as software programs related to compressor performance, SAP, and Salesforce
  • Ability to listen to customer needs, develop complex solutions and sell the benefits to the customer

This job is based in Painted Post, New York. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position in, Painted Post, New York is $84,100 - $120,200 and the annual incentive target is 10% of base salary.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
