A Snapshot of Your Day
Generator Services Operations Management is a dynamic position requiring an individual that can lead a remote workforce effectively, juggle multiple conflicting priorities, and quickly and effectively develop their team. This is a fast-paced position that can be very rewarding.
Responsibilities range from development of engineers, resource allocation, internal and external customer support, planning, and performance reviews. If you are interested in supporting generator field operations in a fast paced and dynamic environment this challenge may be for you!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and develop a team of project and field engineers to safely deliver high quality service outages and projects, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle—from commercial/technical quotation review and readiness through outage execution to post outage customer debriefs—meeting schedule, cost, quality, and EHS targets.
- Prioritize and align internal resources to upcoming outage demand; increase competitiveness by partnering with development, tooling, and engineering to standardize processes, upgrade tooling, and streamline/digitize workflows
- Acts as an escalation contact for GS employees and internal contacts to resolve issues in the field to satisfy internal and external stakeholders
- Periodically visit field projects to review onsite progress and operations, observe first-time evolutions with new tooling or processes, and to meet with internal and external customers
- Supports technical sales during customer meetings and review of cost estimates as required
- Collaborate with the development group in support of new tooling and processes

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proficiency with Siemens Energy and legacy Westinghouse generator technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex technical concepts to field teams, customers, and management. Demonstrated presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
- Self-driven and resourceful; proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to support site teams during off-hours, weekends, or holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally; ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport as needed.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Prior field service/outage planning experience.
- Familiarity with diagnostic testing and inspection methods for generators.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
