- Analysis and design of hot gas path components (e.g. blades, vanes, ring segments) for optimization of mechanical integrity, aeromechanics, and manufacturability in accordance with comprehensive design requirements and design philosophies
- Application, improvement, and automation of advanced mechanical integrity / aeromechanics modeling techniques
- Validation of computational methods and tools aimed at optimization of gas turbine components
- Processing, evaluation, and documentation of primary design and miscellaneous tasks and results, with quality assurance of work products via use of proper design checklist(s)
- Support of manufacturing during initial qualification and subsequent production phases, as well as operation and field issue resolution via design studies and root cause analyses
- Use of test data and field measurements for validation and improvement of analytical predictions, including but not limited to vibration response, flutter, and forced response
- Advanced university degree in mechanical, aerospace or materials engineering
- Extensive industry experience spanning over several years, including expertise in 3D modeling, analysis, and design of hot gas path components, as well as hands-on involvement in manufacturing and field issue support
- Experience in structural (2D, 3D, non-linear), dynamic, aeromechanic, fatigue, and thermal analysis, including hand calculations for simple problems, and strong understanding of materials strength, vibration, aeromechanic excitation, and fatigue phenomena
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS and/or 3D CFD-based aeromechanical / aeroelastic analysis, and knowledge of computational methods and programming experience
- Working knowledge of PLM Teamcenter and SAP
- Business fluency in English
