A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Mechanical Engineer for Surge Arresters and Composite Insulators, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet and exceed customer needs. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical documentation, offering support, and providing technical clarifications to various collaborators. You'll be the go-to expert for ensuring our mechanical engineering projects are completed flawlessly and efficiently.
How you will make an Impact
- Design, calculate, and simulate mechanical designs for surge arresters and insulators according to actual standards and requirements
- Build drawings and bill of materials for newly crafted parts and assemblies
- Provide technical clarification with the test field, manage offers and orders, and liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Coordinate and control product costs, timelines, techniques, and quality
- Analyze and evaluate project-related risks, developing strategies to minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities
- Collaborate and coordinate with project collaborators to ensure seamless execution
- Actively work on process and interface optimization to achieve world-class results
What you Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Over 2 years of experience focusing on high voltage equipment engineering
- Proficiency with international technical standards such as IEC, IEEE, EN, Eurocode, ESTI, and seismic standards
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Creo or similar
- Proficient communication skills in English for business purposes
- An independent working style, ability to collaborate effectively in an intercultural team, and a proactive approach
- Experience with PLM software and SAP is preferable
- Knowledge of high voltage products, systems, and electrical networks is an advantage
