A Snapshot of Your Day

  • In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by safely transporting and positioning materials, components, assemblies, and supplies throughout the facility using forklifts, walkie trucks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining production flow by delivering materials where they are needed, supporting inventory movement, and managing scrap handling activities. Additionally, you will help maintain a safe and organized work environment by conducting routine equipment checks, performing basic maintenance tasks, and reporting any operational or safety concerns. Your contributions will directly support production efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Safely transport and position raw materials, turbine components, assemblies, tools, supplies, and scrap throughout the facility using forklifts, walkie trucks, overhead cranes, A-frames, and other approved material handling equipment.
  • Support production operations by loading and unloading workpieces, delivering materials and supplies to designated locations, and ensuring timely movement of inventory between departments.
  • Verify material identification, maintain accurate records of material movement, and assist with inventory control activities to ensure production accuracy and traceability.
  • Manage scrap handling processes by weighing, segregating, transporting, and loading scrap materials into designated storage and disposal containers.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance activities, including monitoring coolant and oil levels and maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, machines, and work areas.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following established safety procedures, using required PPE, identifying potential hazards, and reporting equipment issues, irregularities, or safety concerns to supervision.

 

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment (or related field and experience acceptable by the team)
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pumps, and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify materials, record inventory movements, and recognize operational irregularities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support production goals.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
