A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting production scheduling and material requirement planning for the Gimpel Valves Components and service repair sectors within Siemens Energy’s STG Products Division.
As a Manufacturing Planner, you will serve as a key interface with SAP, ensuring that all vital materials for production orders are accurately identified, picked, confirmed, and staged for efficient manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will assist in work center scheduling, capacity planning, and effectively communicating machine tool capabilities to optimize production flow and resource allocation. Your contributions will be essential in driving operational excellence and supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality products and services!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage schedules for production orders, ensuring timely delivery of components to the assembly floor, warehouse, or directly to customers.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, manufacturing efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Reporting and Tracking: Establish and maintain reports to monitor the progress of new units and aftermarket parts, supporting on-time delivery metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with engineering, sales and marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure the timely execution of the manufacturing master planning schedule.
- Leadership and Support: Lead the Product Data Management Team, manage Engineering Change Orders, and provide support to Project Managers on ongoing projects, while analyzing manufacturing metrics to drive performance improvements.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required. Associate degree or skill trade with equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience in scheduling, line supervision, industrial engineering, or production control.
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to evaluate options and make decisions, work as a team player, and contribute toward team goals.
- Knowledge of SAP and Office (Excell) is mandatory, experience with Power BI and Alteryx will be an advantage
- Data driven personality able to multitask and investigate options to improve the process.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
