As an LV electrical development engineer at Siemens Gamesa Wind Power, your day will be filled with exciting and impactful tasks. You will collaborate with a world-class team to compose and optimize electrical power distribution and control cabinets for wind turbines. Your work will contribute directly to the development of new products and the resolution of field issues, ensuring that our systems perform flawlessly. Every day, you will engage in dynamic discussions with cross-functional teams and play a key role in driving engineering excellence and system quality.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Translate wind turbine system requirements into hardware definitions, collaborating with different teams to identify efficient building options.
• Detail and merge parts within the wind turbine structure, ensuring smooth compatibility and peak performance.
• Develop comprehensive build packages, including specifications, Bills of Material (BOM), wire routing, and electrical schematics.
• Support the build and testing of prototype equipment at suppliers, in labs, and in manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and support certification processes.
• Showcase materials for reviews at each achievement of new product introduction projects, ensuring successful implementation.

What You Bring

• Electrical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in crafting electrical control/power systems, electrical drives, and UPS systems.
• Expertise in Electrical subsystem architecture definition, optimization, and standardization.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards related to electrical drives and systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a positive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment, with availability to travel 10% of the time.
