A Snapshot of Your Day

Legal counsel will be a vital part of Siemens Energy France's legal department, supporting the Division of Transmission Solutions, Products, and Services operations. These operations span the markets of turnkey construction, energy distribution, transmission, and storage.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  •  Analyzing, amending, and drafting contracts in both French and English. This includes private and public tenders, consortium contracts, and purchase contracts for supply and service subcontracting etc.
  • Conducting risk analysis, preparing risk approval documents, and presenting these to management.
  • Negotiating contractual terms and/or claims with clients or subcontractors in France and internationally, in both French and English.
  • Updating and developing standard contracts and general conditions, conducting legal research, and regularly monitor regulatory/legal developments.
  • Follow-up/monitor litigation cases.
  • During the project execution phase, you'll be responsible for the contract transfer to the execution team. This includes preparing a detailed analysis of contractual risks, back-to-back conditions, and more.
  • Providing advice and claim management during the project execution phase.
  • Conducting necessary training for operational staff (technical and sales) on contractual and claim related issues.

  • The position is based in Grenoble, occasional traveling required (primarily within Europe and Africa).

What You Bring

  • A Master's degree (Master II droit des affaires/ droit privé/ droit international or similar)  in Business Law, Private Law, or International Law, with a strong grasp of legal principles and deep practical experience in contract law (both national and international). Solid knowledge of public procurement law is essential, and an understanding of corporate law is desirable.
  • At least 3 years' experience within a legal department or law firm.
  • Ability to persuade and convince others.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong assertiveness and a highly developed team spirit.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (technical and financial/commercial).
  • Adaptable in a changing environment, with a motivation to engage in unfamiliar subjects and participate in the application or development of new strategies.
  • High flexibility in a complex turnkey project environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple external and internal interfaces.
  • Fluency in French and English is a must (both written and spoken) for contract drafting and negotiation.
