A Snapshot of Your Day

The world of logistics today is characterized by interdisciplinary collaboration across transportation, procurement, planning, production, technology, warehousing, and distribution teams. As an Inventory Analyst at Siemens Energy, you are actively involved in supporting innovation in material flow, material planning, production support and introduction/operation of accountability platforms needed for the Charlotte Power Transformer plant. She/he will exhibit their strengths in planning applications, problem solving, conflict management, analytical theorem, critical thinking and a heavy commitment to a diverse team with common goals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive success through adherence to industry standards, robust process organization, and introduction of lean, standardized principles for the logistical staff.

• Develop value added processes for inventory accuracy to support production cohesion.

• Execute a range of inventory activities including development of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, annual physical counts and inventory analysis.

• Conduct inventory risk evaluations, scrap material analysis and engage in collaboration with Siemens procurement, logistics & supplier quality teams.

• Identify at risk inventory and develop strategies to mitigate handling past expiration dates. Escalate and coordinate disposition of at-risk material to elevated service levels. Support material planning with understanding return to stock material levels.

• Facilitate communication between the procurement team and project teams for technical clarifications of lot size, MOQs and warehousing constraints.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience within supply chain or logistics, with a background in inventory management, demand planning or material audit.

• Associates degree preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Power BI. Experience in SAP and WMS. Profound experience in inventory management, cycle counting, inventory transactions, and inventory cost analysis.

• A well-developed knowledge of inventory turn-over, disposition coding, and ABC analysis.

• Ability to maintain consistent, concise and documented communication between 3PL and supporting Siemens’ team members.

• Develop and coach production teams to accurately account for inventory, identify/document inventory discrepancies & generate material accuracy reports.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Assess 3PL handling of Siemens inventory. Monitor 3PL KPI and escalate trends as necessary.
