We’re looking for passionate engineer with background in project management and design to join the Large Gas Turbine Combustion Design team as Project Team Lead for large gas turbine combustion system developments. As an IPTL, you would be intimately involved in development of various parts of the combustion system. You would lead a team containing various combustion disciplines like, aerodynamic, mechanical design, testing, procurement and manufacturing team for the design of combustion systems.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead a project team to design the latest combustion hardware contributing to the decarbonization goals of Siemens Energy following the product development process (PDP).
- Technical project management and technical contact person for the development program(s) with responsibility for defining team disciplines, milestones and budget
- Controls the project status relative to product requirements (product requirements specification (PRS) / Order Entry Document (OED)), such as technical, Engineering driven commercial and quality targets of project
- Creates Engineering product design specification/Project brief (PDS/PB) out of PRS
- Reports project status to Engineering Management and escalates critical issues (e.g. technical, commercial, quality, schedule) in time
- Represents Engineering in internal and external customer communication (reports, meetings, etc.)
What You Bring
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (higher degree can substitute for experience)
- Experience in agile project management of gas turbine components; experience in combustion design/development preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project), SAP, and Teamcenter
- Very good presentation skills and techniques
- Intercultural experience and excellent collaboration skills across disciplines to develop innovative solutions
- Full professional proficiency in German and English

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
