A Snapshot of Your Day

As Head of Compressor Flow Path Design (MOD CP COD), you will lead and inspire a globally distributed organization of design engineers, product definers, configuration management professionals, and compressor experts across the U.S. and Germany. You’ll set the direction for performance, quality, and on-time delivery while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and strong transatlantic collaboration.

You’ll own end‑to‑end responsibility from concept through service for the design and configuration of compressor module hardware, including blades and vanes, rotors, and casings. Acting as the primary point of contact for the SGT6‑5000F compressor module, you’ll work closely with manufacturing teams on in‑house components, guiding technical decisions related to use, repair, or scrap when deviations arise.

In this role, you’ll serve as a critical connector across frame, service, and engine‑level organizations, partnering with Product Management, Technical Excellence, Service Engineering, Product Integration, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Program Management to deliver high‑impact gas turbine solutions. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing talent, strengthening technical capability, and driving continuous improvement, while aligning global execution with Siemens Energy’s commitment to reliable, sustainable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and inspire a high‑performing engineering organization responsible for compressor blades and vanes, rotor, and casing design, fostering ownership, innovation, and accountability.
  • Build a strong, inclusive culture that enables collaboration, engagement, and high performance across the team.
  • Develop talent and capability through multi‑skilling, targeted training, thoughtful work assignment, and proactive growth opportunities.
  • Deliver operational excellence by ensuring quality, on‑time delivery, and cost efficiency across Compressor Design and Analysis.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Manufacturing, Supply Management, and Service organizations to achieve program and operational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by advancing processes, tools, and methodologies to strengthen team effectiveness and execution.

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in gas turbine engineering design
  • Strong understanding of compressor design disciplines, mechanical integrity, mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and service considerations
  • Highly preferred experience with blades & vanes design
  • Proven, strategic, and execution‑focused leader who demonstrates the value of ownership by driving accountability, anticipating risk, and collaborating effectively across interfacing organizations, with strong communication, presentation, and intercultural leadership skills to enable success in global environments.
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset with strong analytical and organizational capabilities, effectively communicating expertise to enable stakeholder networking and drive change initiatives.
  • Willing to support business objectives through up to 25% of domestic and international travel
