A Snapshot of Your Day

You partner with the Head of the Region to lead key strategic and operational initiatives to grow the business together with your partners in sales and other global functions, in particular providing business and financial foundations for decisions, business frameworks or key customer escalations. You ensure not only accurate financials but create transparency on your Region’s financial situation, evaluate operational business performance and support your partners in business and process improvement activities.

You manage a team of experienced finance heads, and you are directly responsible for all Finance related aspects of the Region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• In your role as a trusted partner to the head of the Region and as a key member of the Region’s leadership team you govern all financial and risk management aspects of the Region
• Actively contributing to the definition of the strategy and playing a vital role in achieving the strategic and business objectives
• Being responsible for the integrity of books and records, for effective Risk Management and Internal Control System as well as for Financial Planning and Controlling of all relevant business and support processes
• Acting as the investors advocate by protecting assets and driving sustainable value creation
• Leading, reviewing, managing and escalating Finance matters as appropriate e.g., legal topics and compliance with financial guidelines, financial risk management, foreign exchange and liquidity as well as other critical topics
• Managing complex offers and tenders, interfaces to sales, customers, financing organizations, contract, claim and receivables management as well as risk management for external partners and logistics
• Driving transformation and continuous optimization in your organization and regularly communicating within the organization (All Employee Meetings, Townhalls, Round Tables, etc.)
• Being a role model by living and promoting the SE Leadership Essentials; you will be an ambassador of collaboration, make people development a priority and you will foster a truly inclusive and diverse environment

What You Bring 

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
• Strong operational experience (7+ years) in commercial sales and project management as well as in leading a Finance function for an international organization
• Strong knowledge in financial controlling, management accounting (IFRS) and Siemens Energy FRGs, reporting systems/ environment as well as in ERP and Finance systems
• Proactive, dynamic, decisive & results oriented as well as collaborative and a team player with strong networking, communication and negotiation skills, with a strong commitment to change management, eager to take ownership of complex challenges
• Capability to successfully manage multiple interfaces, priorities and reporting requirements and to foster collaboration across regions and organizations
• Thinking and acting for Siemens Energy as a whole and aiming to optimize outcomes and solutions with the customer in mind
• A variety of leadership skills and styles; you are passionate about people development and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture
