A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Commissioning & Engineering (m/f/d) in GCO (Global Customer Operations), you will develop and implement strategic plans for the Engineering & Commissioning departments, aligning them with overall business objectives. You will lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of engineers and managers, ensuring alignment to engineering standards and best practices while overseeing the development and implementation of electrical systems, E-drives, and automation solutions in one of more of the industry verticals - Process Industries, Oil Gas and Chemicals and Maritime. Additionally, you will collaborate with multi-functional teams globally in other and build strong relationships with key partners to ensure seamless project execution and commissioning.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Developing and implementing plans for the Engineering and Commissioning teams in alignment with overall business objectives
- Leading, mentoring, and managing a diverse team of engineers and managers to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning and development
- Overseeing the development and implementation of projects within industry verticals
- Ensuring alignment with engineering standards and consistency across all projects and designs, while managing quality
- Collaborating with multi-functional teams globally, including global customer operations, to ensure seamless project execution and commissioning
- Operationally defining and managing budgets, utilization, absorption, and other KPIs for the engineering and commissioning staff and department
What You Bring
- Responsibility for ensuring delivery of engineering and commissioning projects with the highest standards
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, standards, tools, and design methodologies
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in engineering and commissioning leadership roles
- Strong understanding of the EAD (Electrification - Automation - Digitalization) portfolio, industry verticals, and knowledge in electrical systems engineering, E-drives, automation, and engineering standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategies
