A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of an international and collaborative Grid Automation team that combines deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus. You will take ownership of engineering and consulting activities for grid control solutions such as SCADA, EMS, and DMS, including IoT and cybersecurity aspects. Working across transmission and distribution projects, you actively contribute to building reliable and intelligent energy systems. You collaborate with experts and stakeholders across all levels, gaining deep insights into our full Transmission portfolio. In doing so, you continuously grow your expertise while driving forward innovative, state-of-the-art grid solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You develop and refine technical solutions while reviewing customer specifications and ensuring compliance with engineering and control center standards.
- As a domain expert, you configure and optimize SCADA/EMS/DMS applications (e.g., state estimation, load flow, network security and short-circuit calculations).
- Define, maintain, and extend data models in close alignment with customers and consultants to ensure system accuracy.
- You support bid and proposal phases by analyzing requirements, identifying risks, and estimating implementation efforts.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical specialists across grid, communication, and cybersecurity domains.
- Oversee partners and suppliers during project execution, ensuring quality, performance, and successful delivery, while contributing to R&D activities to develop next-generation grid control solutions.
What You Bring
- A Master’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, automation, or physics forms the foundation of your expertise.
- Several years of hands-on experience with grid control technologies such as SCADA, EMS, or DMS enable confident contribution from day one.
- Solid understanding of transmission and distribution systems, including simulation, optimization, or implementation of grid solutions.
- Strong expertise in network calculations, with familiarity in ENTSO-E Network Codes and/or CIM considered an advantage.
- Programming knowledge in environments such as Python, C++, Java, Linux, or scripting languages.
- Fluent English skills combined with an analytical, collaborative, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to thrive in international teams.
