A snapshot of your day
As the Global Commodity Manager for Office and Factory Supplies, you play a key role in managing all stages of commercial opportunities. By examining spending and contract data, you pinpoint ways to advance Siemens Energy. Your creative and practical ideas help you create strategies to take advantage of these opportunities.
You also excel at negotiating with suppliers to achieve your goals. Plus, you have a strong understanding of business and partner needs, allowing you to meet their demands effectively.
You need to expect some travels up to 20%, domestic and international.
How You’ll make a difference
You will drive the development of a balanced global strategy for purchasing Office and Factory Supplies, working closely with our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions.
- Support procurement processes, including demand planning, market analysis, supplier selection, and contract awarding, in collaboration with our BPO partner.
- Monitor existing and new agreements to identify commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with common goals and build strong relationships with key partners.
- Help define the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Buying Channel strategy, leveraging insights from analytics to identify automation opportunities.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring their performance meets our procurement standards.
- Implement supplier development initiatives and organize cross-functional meetings to enhance supplier performance and reduce costs.
What you bring
- Formal higher education within business administration, engineering, law or equivalent is preferable, but longer extensive experience can compensate for education.
- 3+ years of professional experience in procurement management is a must.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish is required
- Experience within category/commodity management is a big advantage.
- Negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Contract and legal knowledge.
- Experience in developing commodity strategies and contracting within a large corporate environment is wanted, but not a must.
- Good knowledge in Office and Factory Supply, ideally in some of the following areas: Tools & MRO, Office Supplies, Waste, Print, Promo.
- Experience in working with a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Partner is a big plus.
