A Snapshot of Your Day
You bring a passion for organizing, preparing, and supporting complex service projects on power plant generators. You have demonstrated a strong ability to prioritize and organize, have the ability to understand complex technical issues, and are able to communicate effectively to all team members.
Responsibilities range from attending project planning meetings, supporting Generator Service field engineers, work package development, technical reviews, schedule creation, and tool ordering. In addition to regular project job duties there will be opportunities to work on development projects and procedure improvement. If you are interested in supporting field engineers in a fast paced and dynamic environment this challenge may be for you!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide project engineering oversight for major turbine generator repair projects and manage maintenance.
- Work integrally with Product Line Managers, Marketing, and Technical Services managers to identify and develop projects.
- Perform project risk assessments and develop detailed work instructions for completion of contract work scopes.
- Develop and use schedules which provide clarity of objectives to customer and Siemens and permit adjustments to achieve desired commitments.
- Direct involvement in tooling ordering, tooling improvements, and development projects to meet product line needs.
- Use Siemens Energy information systems necessary to be effective.
What You Bring
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in field service
- Must have working knowledge of large electrical apparatus including but not limited to generator inspection, testing, generator rewinds and repairs.
- Must possess organizational skills, planning, attention to detail and safety culture.
- Required amount of travel is 10%, domestic.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
