A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Generator Commissioning Engineer and Fact Finder at Siemens Energy, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and efficiency of energy systems. You will engage in meaningful projects that involve inspecting and testing generator components, contributing to the seamless operation of energy systems that power communities worldwide.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Create comprehensive Fact-Finding reports and gather critical data from Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Conduct detailed inspections of stator components, including the stator enwinding, cooler system, laminated core, and HV bushing.
- Examine generator rotor components such as rotor enwinding, slip ring, retaining ring, and collector accessories.
- Perform various tests on stator winding, including IR/PI/WR/HV tests, thermocouple IR, and robotic inspections.
- Conduct rotor tests, covering rotor winding RSO/IR/WR, pole balance, slip ring IR, and bearing insulation assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of energy systems.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field, with a solid foundation in electrical systems.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical generators and auxiliaries.
- Proficiency in technical reporting, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience with rotoscoping inspection techniques, enhancing your ability to perform detailed component analyses.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, facilitating effective collaboration and reporting.
- Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment, with a willingness to travel across the Middle East region as needed.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
