A Snapshot of Your Day
The Packaging / System Engineer – holds Engineering knowledge and experience in the application and execution of process and mechanical systems used in Reciprocating Compressors, Integrally Geared Centrifugal Compressor for Industrial Applications. He will be a package solution lead for rotating equipment projects, working as a team member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team from sales handover through project execution, installation, commissioning, and warranty phases. The Packaging engineer possesses good analytical skills, systematic problem-solving skills and should be result oriented to overcome all internal and external hurdles,
This role is for package engineering of Custom Order Execution projects. In the assigned project teams, this role designs, integrates, specifies, analyzes, and calculates individual components, systems modules, and the overall rotating equipment train scope. This role is responsible for performing these functions in Engineering (EN&PRM) Department, and Manufacturing Network.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the mechanical systems technical scope for rotating equipment packages.
- Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) utilizing COMOS for process gas, utility, and driver (Engine, Turbine, Electric Motor) systems.
- Develop and coordinate technical information from systems for consolidation into overall project documentation – utilities, cable lists, instrument setpoints etc.
- Conduct engineering calculations for the sizing and selection of systems components, such as heat exchangers, Scrubbers (KOD), control valves, safety valves, filters, accumulators, tanks, and pumps.
- Author technical specifications for purchase of auxiliary equipment and system modules.
- Manage the internal layout and routings of systems for safety, maintainability, and operability.
- Support the Project Lead Engineer (PLE) with internal and external clients for technical risk management and opportunities.
- Participate in HAZOP and SIL studies to represent the applicable systems and nodes.
- Support internal and external production activities, including disposition of non-conformances and evaluation of material deviation requests.
- Monitor and manage the packaging engineering schedule and budget, including on-time release of deliverables.
- Provide support to bid management (BM) and front-end engineering (FEE) to review and provide comments and exceptions to client specifications and to identify deviations from standards and to estimate commercial impacts if compliance is required.
- Provide systems engineering expertise and support to commissioning and field service.
- Conduct design reviews on Packaging / systems engineering scope and attend project design reviews.
What You Bring
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor of Science / Engineering with 8-10 years of experience. Specialization Field: Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering
- Reciprocating Compressor, Project, Package Engineering
- Turbo Compressor, Project, Package Engineering
- Package Integration & Layout design
- Knowledge of Industry Standards e.g. API-618, API-617, ISO-13631 (or API11P), API 614, API-610, API-671 etc.
- Basic knowledge of Rotating equipment compressor/ Pumps & other mechanical items, engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings
- Reading and Preparation of Package Engineering drawings like P&I Diagram, General Arrangement, Foundation Plan, piping plan and piping isometric drawings.
- Experience/ Exposure to work with & interpretation of technical specifications of - renowned consultants like: EIL / TEIL / UHDE / LTC / Technip / Shell DEP / SAUDI ARAMCO / PDO etc.
- Knowledge & exposure of international standards, codes like: ASME / ASTM / API / DIN / AWS, relevant to static equipment & piping.
- Knowledge of B31.3 / B 31.1 piping design
- Expertise working in MS Office (Project, Excel & PowerPoint), Adobe PDF, SAP and Team Center to facilitate project execution with hands on experience.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong soft skills, i.e. team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of production planning and schedule-based environment
- Result Oriented Person overcoming all Internal and external hurdles
- Follow and Maintain all Quality and Safety Norms within Organization
