A Snapshot of Your Day

The Gas Turbine (GT) Supervisors Day starts either in an office environment, on-site or in a tooling facility. Working with Field Service Planners and Project Managers in supporting outage preparation, reviewing project plans, outage scope, tools, and infrastructure is an integral part of your work. You may also be required to support with spare parts recommendations, site assessments, tools development and other preparational activities. During on-site execution the GT Supervisor will assume the lead function on the turbine deck during day shift or night shift reporting to the GT Technical Lead. He will structure the daily tasks of the Siemens Energy team on-site and the relevant subcontractors, provide technical expertise and guidance and ensure that all tasks are implemented effectively, outage KPI’s are achieved, keeping safety and quality as the main drivers throughout. Communicating with customer representatives and other stake holders throughout the day to coordinate tasks, resolve technical issues and align activities are key to a successful working day.

Aside from on-site activities, the Gas Turbine Supervisor may be involved in innovation and organizational development activities to explore new technologies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, quality, HSE in his area of expertise. He will be working closely with the local management team on development, and training of the Field Service Team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support implementation of complex service CCPP outages and other Gas Turbine service interventions in the role of Gas Turbine Supervisor for Siemens Energy 2000E, 4000F, 8000H, 9000HL Turbine frames in line with Siemens Energy’s and international industry standards and requirements regarding HSE, quality, customer satisfaction, adherence to process, cost, duration.
  • Follow technological and processual standards and best practices of Siemens Energy and collaborate with international teams off- and on-site.
  • Perform documentation of disassembly and re-assembly test results within check/test sheets and ensure timely documentation in relevant protocols, data sheets and field reports according to standard and requirements.
  • Maintain excellent customer, project team and on-site communication and collaboration to establish high level of customer satisfaction and to meet relevant project KPI’s.
  • Ensure works carried out by personnel on site are in accordance with the required HSE standards and the safety and health of sub-contractors and peers is taken care of.
  • Provide guidance in internal resource planning and evaluation of subcontractors as requested.
  • Actively engage in outage preparation of service activities and provide relevant guidance and input for successful outage execution.
  • Provide relevant and timely feedback towards improvements of technological processes and tools, supporting modernization and further development of tooling and equipment landscape of FS AP MY and follow up on implementation of such improvements.
  • Actively support FS digitalization and modernization e.g. paperless outage, data driven maintenance, capability based optimized resource allocation.
  • Supervise, execute and/or support any other given task during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance of Siemens Energy equipment as per cross-training and multiskilling concept of Field Service in AP and relevant capabilities

What You Bring

  • Field Service supervisor with at least 5 years of experience in hands-on mechanical maintenance activities on Gas Turbines. Knowledge of Siemens Energy Gas Turbine frames 2000E, 4000F or 8000H and/or relevant standards and procedures in an OEM-service environment will be considered an advantage.
  • Supervisors with background in Steam Turbine Maintenance, Generator Maintenance, or rotating equipment maintenance in the Oil & Gas Industry with extensive expertise in mechanical service execution obtained through hands-on work and willingness to develop into Gas Turbine service maintenance are welcome to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving competence with focus on balanced, pragmatic hands-on solutions based on profound technical knowledge and experience, an affinity to new technology and innovation and the willingness to fast-track if required.
  • Profound understanding of relevant HSE and Quality standards related to On-site service execution in the relevant industry paired with the ability to supervise a diverse and multinational team of specialists and implement innovative best-in-class solutions in a challenging environment.
  • High level of intrinsic motivation, resilience, discipline, and personal engagement to achieve general, and project specific targets.
  • Basic understanding of contractual constellations, local regulations and their impact to service execution based on project KPI’s.
  • Confident user of standard IT-applications (Microsoft Office) with ability to swiftly engage with new IT-system, environments and databases.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully and solve problems under pressure in a complex international environment (Fluent English written and oral are compulsory, other languages are additional advantages).
  • Willing to travel extensively internationally and work flexible hours on demand.
