As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for commercially supporting the Engineering, Sales Operations, and Inventory Management organizations. Collaborating closely with operational partners, you will be deeply engaged with the Global Service Operations (GSO) business, analyzing financial performance and providing input to strategic questions. In this global role, you will communicate frequently with team members and counterparts in the US, Germany, and other regions worldwide, supporting our business and customers in close collaboration with the operational community.

You will focus on establishing strong customer relationships and fostering a global team spirit within your team and its interface partners. You will guide your team through transformation, ensuring delivery on KPIs as forecasted, in line with internal and external regulations, and driving improvements in operational execution. You will also engage in developing your organization by fostering the further buildup of local competencies.

This position offers significant professional exposure on a global level. You will have regular contact with management team members, central teams, and other key stakeholders. You will ensure not only accurate financials but also transparency regarding the key drivers of your respective business segments.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Act as a financial business partner to GSO subsegments Engineering Services (ES) and Sales Operations (SOP), managing budgeting, forecasting, capital investments, variance analysis, and service order entry forecasts in close coordination with SOP and RSU Sales.
  • Own GSO asset and Central Service inventory management, including global inventory forecasting, budgeting, transparent reporting, variance analysis, and booking of global reserves in compliance with FRGs and local guidelines.
  • Ensure robust financial compliance and controls across global and local operations, including transfer pricing adherence and financial governance for a regional engineering footprint spanning 20+ countries.
  • Lead and develop a global finance team of 13+ across multiple locations, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture aligned with Siemens Energy values and leadership principles.
  • Serve as the audit liaison for all GSO subsegments, managing global internal and external audit relationships, deliverables, and U.S. GSO depth structure oversight, including LOA and signature authority compliance.
  • Drive process simplification, digitization, and continuous improvement, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance controlling performance, strengthen governance, and support global cost optimization initiatives.
What You Bring (requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in controlling, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and operational financial management.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to develop, engage, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Experience with warehouse management, inventory valuation, and preferably the PD2 MM module, along with hands-on exposure to operational finance environments.
  • Proven experience supporting external audits, including preparation of financial documentation and audit deliverables.
  • Strategic, analytical communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, a collaborative and high-integrity mindset, and experience driving transformation, change management, and digitalization initiatives in a global team environment.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
