A Snapshot of Your Day
The Field Service Representative/Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for our clients ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Hands on experience of high voltage equipment i.e. Air Insulated switchgear (Live tank Circuit Breakers, Dead Tank Circuit breakers etc), Gas Insulated switchgear & Power transformers.
- Installation and commissioning experience of AIS, GIS & Power Transformers.
- Hands on experience of Electrical testing of High Voltage equipment (Circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, Transformers etc).
- Experience of SF6 Gas Handling.
- Ability to read Electrical schematics & drawings.
- Attending the customer sites on short notices.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and systems, perform repairs and maintenance, and provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance, identify potential issues to prevent breakdowns, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical needs, provide timely updates on service progress, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service.
What You Bring
- High school diploma, GED, Engineering, or technical vocational diploma, combined with prior field service or equivalent related experience is preferred.
- Australian Electrical license is a must requirement.
- Ideally five (5) - ten (10) years of related OEM, industrial, commercial or utility experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rule, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
- Work in a team environment to support your peers operating in a complex environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair of power and distribution electrical equipment.
- Maintain safe operating condition of tools, and equipment including conducting detailed inventories and inspections to determine maintenance and repairs.
- Perform duties in accordance with Siemens Energy Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies customer, industry, and corporate laws, regulations, and standards.
- Strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Availability to travel for extended periods, up to 70% per year.
