A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into a dynamic role where you collaborate with project teams and customers to shape the future of substation automation. You’ll guide technical decisions, design innovative system architectures, and ensure solutions are reliable and forward-thinking. Your expertise helps drive project success as you review documentation, coordinate with suppliers, and troubleshoot system interfaces. Every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real impact on energy transmission and distribution.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Take charge of control system specifications for substation automation projects, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Create concept diagrams and define communications interfaces, integrating RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
- Design network architecture and select optimal components for automation systems.
- Lead the preparation of technical and commercial offers, providing expert guidance to customers.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests to verify control system functionality and compliance.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation, including functional design specifications, test protocols, and signal lists.
What You Bring
- Hold a degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related discipline.
- Offer at least 3 years of hands-on experience in engineering HMI/SCADA systems for control and energy transmission & distribution.
- Demonstrate proficiency with HMI software and Substation Automation tools such as WinCC, Zenon, ZEE600, SICAM PAS, SICAM A8000, and knowledge of various vendor solutions.
- Possess expertise in process data handling, subsystem integration, and SCADA Communication Gateway configuration for Remote Control Centers.
- Exhibit strong command of communication protocols, including IEC101, IEC104, and IEC61850.
- Communicate effectively in English (mandatory), with German language skills considered an advantage.
