Snapshot of your day
The Seasoned Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end leadership and delivery of complex, cross-unit turnkey projects, primarily in the field of High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical substations, across the Western Europe & Africa region.
This role encompasses both the continuation of an ongoing cross-organizational project and the execution of future complex turnkey EPC projects, requiring strong leadership, advanced project management expertise, and a deep understanding of electrical substation project environments.
The Seasoned Project Manager co-pilots project execution with the Project Controls/Finance counterpart, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, HSE, schedule, cost, quality, and governance requirements.
How you'll make a difference
- Define and implement project execution strategies for complex turnkey HV/MV electrical substation projects, including multi-site and cross-unit configurations
- Lead project organizations, assign responsibilities, and mobilize resources to achieve project objectives
- Ensure alignment between local, regional, and global stakeholders involved in EPC execution
Planning, Cost & Schedule Control
- Plan, organize, and control project resources to meet scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives
- Monitor project performance (cost, schedule, risks, staffing) and report progress to management
- Identify deviations and implement corrective actions in coordination with stakeholders
Contractual, Commercial & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure compliance with EPC contractual obligations, grid codes, and applicable standards
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure customer satisfaction while protecting company interests
- Support contract administration, change management, and claims prevention activities
Procurement, Supplier & Interface Management
- Supervise the integration of suppliers and subcontractors into turnkey substation project execution plans
- Review and validate engineering, civil, electrical, and commissioning deliverables
- Manage interfaces between multiple contractors, disciplines, and project entities
Risk, Quality & HSE Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements, particularly for HV/MV site activities
- Guarantee compliance with quality standards during design, construction, testing, and commissioning
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary project teams across multiple units and geographies
- Assess, coach, and support team members in their professional development
- Promote an entrepreneurial mindset, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
Decision Authority
- Take decisions within delegated authority in accordance with governance rules (LoE, PTA, PE@SE processes)
- Escalate and propose decisions beyond authority thresholds to the appropriate management level
- Act as a key decision-maker for complex turnkey substation project execution
What you bring
- Proven experience in managing complex turnkey HV and MV electrical substation projects, EPC, or similar infrastructure projects
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in complex project management, including leadership of teams larger than six members
- Strong experience in international and multicultural project environments

- Ability to manage multiple interdependent projects and cross-unit interfaces
- Strong risk, cost, and schedule management capabilities
Certifications & Tools
- Project Management certification aligned with company standards (e.g., PM@Siemens / PM3, IPMA Level C or equivalent)
- Solid knowledge of project management tools and Siemens Energy execution processes (e.g., PE@SE)
Languages
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Fluent French
- Additional regional languages are an asset
Geographical Scope
Projects primarily located in Western Europe and Africa. Availability for travel and site presence as required by project phases
