A Snapshot of Your Day 

A typical day for a Project Procurement Manager at Siemens Energy includes a mix of planning and coordinating tasks. You will start by analyzing ongoing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement is effectively integrated into the project management process. Throughout the day, you will engage with suppliers to negotiate contracts, assess market conditions, and handle procurement risks while maintaining a focus on budget, quality, and timelines. Additionally, you will use sophisticated data analytics to support project calculations and refine procurement strategies, all while fostering strong relationships with customers at various levels. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to drive impactful results in the oil & gas sector.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Analyze sales and operations planning in respect of new projects to ensure the involvement of Procurement in a project, providing information about the market and preferred suppliers regarding goods and services (Major Buyouts, Auxiliary Equipment and Extended Scope)
  • Establish and control accurate sourcing processes, controlling all procurement resources and activities in the project and deliver optimum impact for the business relating to budget, availability, timeline, and quality
  • Analyze scope of supply and contractual obligations, identify procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, as well as provide categorization of prevailing risks, support project calculation with reliable and up-to-date cost data for responsible scope
  • Derive procurement strategy for assigned projects in accordance with Business Unit & Operating Company procurement strategies and ensure implementation
  • Connect with suppliers on all Procurement aspects for responsible scope to meet project targets (Expedite RFQs, Lead and conduct contractual, price, cash flow and commercial T&C negotiations)
  • Apply and lead preferred supplier list, coordinate Supplier Management in preparation for transition to project execution phase (including Supplier qualification, project-specific supplier evaluations and supplier development)
What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or relevant field) required and master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in related SCM/Procurement functions, project procurement, proposal and/or project management within oil & gas or power generation industry and advanced knowledge of sourcing process.
  • Compressor experience with major equipment relevant technical proficiency prefer
  • Advanced or fluent english.
  • Advanced skills in: MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to understand and work in a matrix, international organization; and advanced data analytics and cost modelling skills.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Brazil.
