A Snapshot of Your Day

An entry level Project Engineer will participate on our training program for Transmission Services. Will be performing preventive and corrective maintenance in high voltage Transmission Assets. As well dealing with innovative high voltage technology from Siemens Energy on a diary basis nationwide.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Entry Level Project Engineer is responsible for the environmentally safe performance of service projects. The candidate will work under the direct supervision and training of senior engineers within Siemens Energy Transmission Services.

The successful candidate will be trained on FACTS (Flexible Alternate Current Transmission Solutions) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) station equipment and controls; to become independent and work with little to no supervision in the future. Performs work under the supervisory direction of senior engineer. Effective communication with both, Ops Manager and Service Engineers, is required throughout active projects and when awaiting assignment and/or stand-by time.

Supports proposal team with reading specifications for tender, calculating and writing tender proposals based on RFQ received, entering opportunities into Salesforce. Works closely with proposal team and parts business.

Siemens Energy Transmission Services perform maintenance contracts on various high voltage transmission assets required to interconnect power generation and distribution systems. Maintenance contracts that includes cyber security services in control and protection devices for FACTS and HVDC stations.

High Voltage transmission assets also perform key role supporting energy transition for more renewables and sustainable energy.

What You Bring

  • Entry Level Project Engineer requires bachelor electrical engineer degree or equivalent in engineering field.
  • Assist in the repair of FACTS and HVDC equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems. Recommend changes or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, (written and/or verbal), regarding safety, (i.e. tailgate meetings), security or environmental incidents, safety violations or near misses.
  • Coordinate personal lodging and travel and other transportation, as needed.
  • Be responsible for completing time & expense and field service job reports, using on-line/administrative tools or software.
  • Follow and/or enforce Siemens Environmental Health & Safety policies
  • Perform duties in accordance with customer, industry and corporate laws, regulations, and standards
