A Snapshot of Your Day

We are currently seeking an Electrical condition monitoring engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Siemens Energy EAD electrical delivery scope, components, and solution architecture.

The candidate should also be able to work effectively with various stakeholders and domain experts to document, develop, test, and deliver the total Electrical Condition Monitoring score for one of the biggest projects for EAD, Yggdrasil!


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Understand the possibilities, features and limitations for condition monitoring utilizing the capabilities of the components mentioned above to meet the customers’ needs and expectations
  • Organize and coordinate with several stakeholders and domain experts to develop the total Electrical Condition Monitoring scope for Oil and Gas digitalization projects, both inside the project and with Siemens Energy EAD Product Portfolio Management
  • Engage with the customer’s and the project’s Electrical and Automation Domain responsible to align solutions and their integrations into the overall solution
  • Understand industry-standard data models and understand the need for, and use of data models in general, as well as for data consolidation and aggregation
  • Discuss and select equipment, devices, and data sources available in the project packages related to how they fit within Siemens Energy digital solutions’ analytics and condition monitoring offerings
  • Identify and document additional features for Electrical Condition Monitoring in Siemens Energy analytics and condition monitoring digital solutions


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field + equivalent practical experience
  • Understand the key principles of condition monitoring, condition-based maintenance, both predictive and prescriptive
  • Proven experience in the field of oil and gas
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard data communications data models like OPC UA
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient English written and spoken language


Beneficial skills/capabilities

  • Understand or have the capability to work with the customer to optimize the customer's operation of the electrical domain in collaboration with Siemens Energy’s service organization
  • Understanding of Digital Twins and their use
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and their use
  • Knowledge of failure modes (FMEA/FMECA) and it’s use in a maintenance perspective
