Your day involves establishing and upholding EHS standards while collaborating with internal collaborators to improve workplace safety. You conduct site visits to evaluate compliance, lead audits, and identify risks, ensuring detailed documentation and corrective actions are taken. Additionally, you drive EHS engagement initiatives and coordinate with the Procurement Team to assess supplier performance, all while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability perfection.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Establish, implement, and maintain EHS standards across Siemens Energy in the Middle East while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Develop and improve EHS processes, promote workplace safety, and collaborate with internal teams such as Project Management, Service Operations, Sales, and the Global EHS organization.
• Conduct site visits, act as the site EHS officer in Kuwait when needed, perform site inspections, identify risks, and ensure proper incident investigation and documentation.
• Lead internal and external audits, evaluate supplier EHS performance in collaboration with Procurement, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive EHS engagement initiatives, deliver training programs, and promote safety and sustainability excellence across the organization.
• Oversee country-level EHS initiatives, including workplace health programs, facility safety, compliance with local regulations, and operational safety at the Tooling Center.

What You Bring

• Technical background with an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or Petroleum fields.
• NEBOSH IGC Level 3 certification and Auditor Training for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Preferred Certified Safety Professional certification.
• 8 to 15 years of experience, including 5 years in EHS roles passionate about projects or facilities in the power or oil & gas industries.
• Experience in power plants, oil & gas, or service-related industries involving rotating equipment is a plus.
• Proficient in collaboration tools and experienced in working with multicultural teams.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
