DYNAMIC PROCESS SIMULATION ENGINEER

You will bring Familiarity with system designs for process equipment selection & control strategy validation. Utilize the simulation software tools to evaluate various applications with industrial applications. Applications include centrifugal compressor response to transient events.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and analyze a transient dynamic simulation model of an industrial application process or seal gas system vent configuration, taking inputs from core machinery, systems design, and external data sources.
  • Specify technical requirements and conduct calculations for process equipment such as anti-surge valves.
  • Generate a detailed report summarizing results and recommendations identifying optimized configurations and protection schemes for rotating equipment operation.
  • Engage in the hazardous operation of review of turbo compressor products and system design in industrial applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to provide business support in the review and application of job specific requirements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical
  • Engineering and detail design knowledge with experience in the interactions of turbo compressor products with Industrial Applications Processes, such as centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, isothermal compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and the rotating equipment associated with this portfolio.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery and energy industry specifications e.g. API 617, API 614, API 692, IEC 60534.
  • Good understanding of process simulation software used in the hydrocarbon processing industries.
  • Analytical and critical thinking, quality and result orientation, and ability to work in multi-functional teams.
  • Proficient use of English in written and verbal form
