A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Digital Lighthouse Leader, you will drive the strategy for automation, robotics, and digitalization in a new greenfield manufacturing facility, working closely with Process Engineering and a multidisciplinary team. Your day involves coordinating equipment design and selection, supervising vendors, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, leading TPM and Operational Excellence initiatives, and preparing processes for start of production. Throughout, you will empower your team to innovate, continuously improve, and deliver world‑class engineering solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of robotics, automation, and TPM solutions for engineer‑to‑order production lines.
- Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations, Mexican legal requirements, and Siemens Energy standards during equipment design, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage timelines, CapEx, and One‑Time Costs to ensure on‑time and high‑quality delivery of automation initiatives.
- Coordinate the Digital Lighthouse team and align activities with Process Engineering and all project workstreams.
- Adapt and implement the Siemens Energy standard IT landscape to local needs, driving digitalization across processes.
- Develop, train, and motivate team members on new technologies, fostering innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) and 8+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, and maintenance.
- Strong expertise in automation systems, robotics, manufacturing engineering principles, and digitalization in engineer‑to‑order environments.
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex engineering solutions end‑to‑end.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean, TPM, Operational Excellence, and process optimization methodologies.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and change leadership abilities; fluent English required, additional languages are a plus.
