Imagine stepping into the vibrant world of #DigiHubBarcelona, where innovation meets energy transformation. As an Energy Market Data Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of digitalization and decarbonization, working within one of Siemens Energy’s main Data Hubs. Your day will be filled with dynamic interactions, collaborating with the Prescriptive Marketing Team to harness proprietary and public data. You’ll apply advanced analytics to uncover market opportunities, monitor key energy markets, and track industry trends. Your insights will shape core market assumptions and support long-term outlooks for power and fuel markets across Europe, with a special focus on the German power market. Join us in redefining the service dimension of our machines through data.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Translate market trends into scenario assumptions for major power markets in Europe, especially the United Kingdom.
- Collaborate with Modelers to define and develop fundamental Electricity Market model forecasts, utilizing forecasting software like Plexos/Aurora.
- Enhance market models and provide recommendations based on data analytics, visualization, and customer feedback.
- Analyze model results and create insightful visualizations for internal stakeholders.
- Support business analysts in evaluating business cases across Europe, focusing on power asset performance and maximizing service levels.
- Present insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders, leveraging your energy markets knowledge and data analytics.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Master in Economics, Business, Engineering, IT, or Natural Sciences, with experience in consulting, finance, trading, or energy markets.
- Demonstrated interest in European Energy Power Markets and market dynamics.
- Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, with proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong data visualization skills using PowerPoint, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages, especially German, are a plus.
- Experience with Snowflake database, programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python), and basic understanding of development processes are nice to have.

Our Gas Services division is dedicated to low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. We offer zero or low emission power generation, encompassing all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof. Our team is committed to modernizing and digitalizing the fleet, providing decarbonization opportunities through innovative service offerings.
