A Snapshot of your Day
After an agreement with the sales department, the subsidiary and/or the customer, you start setting up your own projects in terms of hardware and software. This includes, for example, building control cabinets from FAT to SAT and programming until a machine is running or handed over to the customer.
What you Bring
- Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree in Automation/Instrumentation/Controls/Electro-technical.
- Knowledge of Control Theory and system description.
- Knowledge of Software (S7, TIA Portal, Win CC, PCS7, Comos)
- Experience in writing PLC programs.
- Knowledge of writing embedded applications in a higher programming language.
- Knowledge of planning PLC projects.
- Industry knowledge in turbomachinery, energy and/or oil & gas applications.
- Knowledge about enclosure dimension drawings and parts list for suppliers (Cabinet).
- Understand dimensional drawing of sloping switchgear, cabinet housing and arrangement plans.
- Creation of parts lists for control cabinet ordering.
- Knowledge of circuit diagrams and connection diagrams (Cabinet).
- Knowledge of component description and operating manuals for Simatic, Sitop and others.
- Basic knowledge about CE certification, ATEX, Functional Safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English language.
- Ability to travel internationally.
How you’ll make an impact
- Creating PLC project and programming according to engineering documents.
- Commissioning of control panel in workshop.
- Testing project control system hardware and software.
- Attending and conducting customer acceptance tests worldwide.
- Attending and conducting Modbus communication tests with customer control system worldwide.
- Verifying and implementing controls engineering project specifications.
- Review client specifications for PLC, I/O, Cyber Security, etc.
- Create PLC hardware and software list of material.
- Implementing and review of project documents like Network Diagram, Logic Diagram, etc.
- Meet project time schedule and cost budget.
- Support remotely commissioning of compressor train.
- Support proposal engineering creating customer offers.
- Trouble shooting (3rd-Level-Support)
