A Snapshot of Your Day

This position requires the candidate to support the business through proactive management of suppliers/commodities, guaranteeing an optimum supply chain.

The role requires close collaboration with multiple interfaces (internal and external) to meet core business objectives.

The candidate will be responsible for developing commodity/supplier strategies and will be accountable for respective performance metrics. You will have the opportunity of building internal and external alliances, implement robust strategic procurement plans, and build strong supplier partnerships.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead special projects and define commodity strategies: Participate in or lead strategic initiatives and define both short- and long-term strategies for your commodities.
  • Supplier management and market research: Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers, lead negotiations, manage contracts and claims, and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Commodity development and qualification: Collaborate with Regional and Global Commodity Teams (GCM) on development strategies and drive the qualification process of new suppliers with cross-functional teams.
  • Performance and risk management: Implement and monitor productivity measures, perform supplier management processes with SQM (qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification), and oversee supplier risk management.
  • Audit and compliance: Act as the focal point for internal and external audits and assessments.
  • Cross-functional support: Provide support to internal departments such as Sales, Quality, Project Management, and Engineering.

What You Bring  

  • Desired Professional Experience within supply chain, procurement in Energy market with successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge.
  • Experience in Transmission area is a plus.
  • Negotiation and Commercial Skills
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English at a professional level. Spanish is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP Basics;)
  • Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to influence, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, challenge the status quo and effect change
