A Snapshot of Your Day
Financial Control & ReportingMonitor expenses, ensure cost efficiency, and provide transparent financial analysis, Related tasks: lead Target Costing and Target Pricing processes; collect company information for rating and risk assessment; prepare regular deep dive analysis on SDs showing significant margin slippage; address and follow up tasks relating to deep dives to develop our pricing process; provide and automate all detailed Sales reports containing specific information on geographical regions, sales representatives or any deeper structures than needed for regular JEDOX reporting. (All basic financial reports and analysis required for JEDOX & EPM+ will be provided by Controlling).
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Full Commercial Finance OwnershipManage all commercial finance activities from proposal phase through project closure
- Team LeadershipLead and empower/be part of a team of Commercial Offer & Order Managers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards.
- Governance & EscalationAlign internal escalation processes (Bid Releases, Limits of Authority) with global governance requirements.
- Customer NegotiationsSupport complex contract negotiations during offer and execution phases.
- Financial Reporting & PlanningPrepare monthly/quarterly reports for budgeting and forecasting of Order Intake. (Actual reports for OI and other financial KPIs will be provided by Controlling)
- Relationship ManagementBuild strong internal and external relationships across factory networks and regional units
- Digitalization & Process ImprovementDrive simplification, digitalization, and explore AI capabilities for commercial processes.
- Bid Strategy & Business ModelsCollaborate with regional sales to develop competitive bid strategies, pricing analysis, optimized business models, and value streams.
- Process OptimizationStreamline sales and proposal procedures to improve productivity and efficiency. Ensure and adhere strictly to sales calculation methodologies
- Commercial Risk & ComplianceIdentify and mitigate risks (legal, currency exposure, securities, payment terms, insurance, export control).
- Offer Validation & Contractual ClarificationValidate offer calculations for accuracy and completeness; clarify commercial and contractual terms.
What You Bring
- Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Relevant experience in commercial project management and/or sales.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial processes.
- Experience in complex customer negotiations and managing commercial aspects of projects.
- Proven team and leadership skills; project management certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, proactive and independent working style.
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
