A Snapshot of Your Day
To address the growing energy demand, you will prepare Long Term Service and Operation and Maintenance offers for the Middle East region. You will collaborate closely with the Technical Sales and Bid Management Team, as well as regional entities and negotiate contracts to successful completion.
In addition you will take care of the financial planning and reporting in coordination with the Sales and Fin Sales Management.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Implement the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase, managing financial results to optimize gross profit, cash flow, and assets
- Analyze tender requirements, identify, and mitigate commercial risks (currency, financial security, payment terms, insurance, export control, compliance), and clarify export and tax regulations, guide regional colleagues in onshore parts, and build transparent wall-to-wall calculations
- Own the negotiation of commercial terms and conditions, as well as consortium contracts, in coordination with relevant departments (Legal, insurance, guarantee, financing, VAT, customs) as well as provide input to and present projects during all levels of the internal approval process, act as a counterpart/support to the Technical Sales Manager
- Assure financial transparency by developing and monitoring sales related financial performance indicators such as OE, Revenue, GM, Cash In, HC, Sales Costs etc.
- Complete planning, forecasting, reporting and controlling tasks by collaborating closely with Sales Management, Business Controlling and others as well as optimization of new methods and processes in reporting and performance controlling
- Monitor forecast accuracy (SFDC, MS Excel etc) and develop improvement actions in collaboration with the organization
What You Bring- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Long term experience in commercial sales or project management for complex projects in construction, engineering, energy, or similar industries or long term experience in a controlling role
- Proven skills in bid preparation, contract negotiation, taxes, NCM, financing, accounting, reporting, claim, and risk management
- Strong understanding of Financial Controlling, Management Accounting (IFRS), and experience with reporting systems and financial digitalization (MS Office, SAP, SFDC, Tableau, Alteryx)
- Cross-functional and organizational approach, ability to connect and integrate perspectives at all levels, and comfortable with virtual international teams
- High curiosity, resilience, and motivation for dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (Arabic is a Plus) and ability to present results to management
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
