A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Commercial Sales Manager, you will provide the Sales Organization with financial expertise, commercial and proposal support for the development of Energy, service orders and projects including Master Frame Agreements, Long Term Service Agreements, complex Modification and Upgrade projects and integrated solutions opportunities. By supporting the preparation and presentation of opportunities throughout the bid process for the Gas Services North America Sales organization, you will have a direct impact with growth and future success of the business!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Review and analyze financial and commercial components of internal/external customer proposals and Master Frame Agreements.
  • Together with the Sales Lead, Project Manager and Commercial Project Manager ensure the accuracy of the cost and pricing calculation for existing contract renegotiations.
  • Participate in activities associated with order turnover to project implementation and alignment of customer expectations.
  • Identify and support the development of strategies, efficiencies, and responsibilities to turn service proposals into orders and improve alignment/consistency of processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy and local accounting guidelines.
  • For cross border projects: Evaluate and determine appropriate trading model in compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Identify any foreign currency risk within proposals and implement mitigation strategy.
  • Support any Guarantee, letters of credit or other financial instrument requirements identified during the bid phase.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Finance.
  • Thorough understanding of Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience with strategic financial evaluations in long-term project business.
  • Experience within project management, marketing, or cost estimation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with ability to meet all deadlines is required.
  • Candidate should be able to effectively communicate technical financial information to non-financial internal customers.
  • Experience and desire to automate through group digitalization projects.
  • Required amount of travel up to 10% (primarily domestic travel).
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Passport.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
