A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for all commercial/finance related matters and support the technical project manager in leading and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax and NCM topics! You will be working alongside the different business, such as Substation Projects (Greenfield, Replacement, Refurbishment, Extension), LTSA and O&M Contracts and Small orders. Any experience with Commercial Sales activities will be considered a plus.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial execution of projects, including the creation of sales orders, project setup in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing, payment terms, and maintenance of project costs, securities, taxes, and insurance requirements while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Project Financial Controlling: Conduct project controlling, forecasting, and reporting on the financial status of a dedicated portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of project financial records and compliance with internal financial guidelines and external regulations.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Co-lead projects alongside the Project Manager, focusing on optimizing financial outcomes while adhering to defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements, and applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG).
  • Contract Negotiations: Co-lead negotiations for contracts, claims, and change orders with stakeholders, ensuring financial interests are protected and aligned with project goals.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in the financial execution and controlling of commercial projects.
  • BS/BA required; a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar financial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical skills are essential. CPA, MBA, or PMI certification is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines while being a great team player open to learning. Familiarity with business analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and a curiosity about leveraging Artificial Intelligence for financial analysis and decision-making is a plus.
