A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

This position is a technical field advisor. The advisor helps the customer to build a powerplant. This includes offering advice to get the supplied equipment working and helping to identify drawings and protocols.

How You’ll Make an Impact (Responsibilities)

• Serve as a technical advisor to customers during gas turbine commissioning activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Support construction and commissioning teams by reviewing, interpreting, and utilizing technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Identify, document, and report technical issues, risks, or inadequacies, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution.
• Provide on-site guidance to ensure commissioning activities align with project requirements, procedures, and safety standards.
• Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly to internal teams and customer representatives.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in gas turbine commissioning or a closely related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in common office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, field-based environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization (internal transfers may be considered for current Siemens Energy employees with valid visa sponsorship).

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
