A Snapshot of Your Day

We are currently seeking a talented CFD engineer to join our esteemed research and development department. Our department is highly focused on increasing fuel flexibility, including the use of hydrogen Ammonia and biofuels. As part of our team of skilled engineers, you will play a crucial role in designing and operating combustion systems that are reliable, robust, and highly efficient.

As a CFD engineer, you will collaborate closely with other disciplines within the organization to achieve project goals and meet the specifications outlined. You will be expected to take an active role in development projects, using both commercial and internally developed tools to analyze solutions and transfer outputs to neighbouring groups for evaluation of engine life and other critical factors.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be involved in all parts of the development process, from conceptualization to prototype testing and final design. You will analyze data and evaluate development tests as well as develop new methods and approaches.
  • Be involved in many exciting projects in green fuel where your sharp ability to analyze and propose changes that can lead to improved machine performance is of the highest priority.
  • Collaborate closely with other fields, both within R&D and the service organization.
  • Have the opportunity to build a large network spanning across the world, from Europe to North America and Asia.

What You Bring

You don't need to be a superhero, just have an open mind!

  • Experience in CFD.
  • You have a Master's or PhD degree in chemistry, physics, energy, CFD or mechanical engineering.
  • You are driven, have great problem-solving skills and enjoy working in a team where you get to participate in developing and streamlining.
  • Experience in numerical calculations. Applied combustion experience is a plus.
  • The willingness to learn and try new methods based on fluid mechanics principles as well as understanding of kinetics
  • Previous experience with gas turbines is meritorious.
  • Good knowledge of English both orally and in writing.

The team is focused on R&D projects and will consist of people from all around the world and with different backgrounds. We strive to support each other and build a strong technical knowledge within the team. There is always someone to discuss solutions and ideas with before presenting the final scope. An internal mentorship program is set up to take care of new team members.
