Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Quality Engineer (Assembly Support) and become the focal point for all quality-related matters in our assembly operations! You will play a vital role in eliminating poor quality by actively engaging with Quality Engineers, Assembly Managers, and Team Leaders. Imagine being integral to the ATO group, where you will check and process essential documents and work instructions. Your commitment to quality will help maintain our quality documentation and ensure that we meet our operational targets. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes, making a real impact on our manufacturing capabilities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Foster a culture of quality consciousness by actively interacting with the assembly team regarding quality-related issues.
  • Assist Quality Engineers in reducing non-conformance rates (NCC) to below 4.5% by effectively communicating issues and driving solutions.
  • Conduct E-Build checks in SAP on assemblies and completed core engines to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Support in coordinating the monthly calibration recall list in assembly, keeping a Quality critical metric of over 95%.
  • Control work instructions and document management in the assembly area to ensure all materials are up-to-date for quality audits.
  • Enhance our processes continually to greatly boost our manufacturing capabilities.

What You Bring

  • A proven experience in a technical administration role, showcasing your expertise in quality processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 360 and SAP, with specific training in SAP Quality modules.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English, along with an NVQ Level 3 in an administrative role.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage documentation and support quality audits effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt, ready to assist with customer requests for detailed certification and archival retrieval.
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing quality improvements and maintaining high standards.
