We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Area Sales Manager with specific experience in industrial onshore, offshore, and co-generation applications to join our dynamic sales team at our Kongsberg, Norway office and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business.

Snapshot of your day
As a Gas Turbine Area Sales Manager, specializing in industrial onshore, offshore, and co-generation applications, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our cutting-edge SGT-50 2MW gas turbine systems and services within the designated territory.

You will work closely with our existing clients to maintain strong relationships, while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your primary objective will be to meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring continued growth and success for both our clients and our organization. This position will report directly to the Head of Sales.

Other duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet targets and grow the customer base in industrial onshore, offshore, and co-generation sectors, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Understand client needs to offer value-added solutions for new unit sales and service. Negotiate contracts to close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, project management, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience and address unique needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments to maintain a competitive edge. Network at conferences, tradeshows, and industry events to connect with potential clients.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the gas turbine or power generation industry, with specific experience in industrial onshore, offshore, and co-generation applications.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience working in SAP and creating price lists.
  • Understanding of Export Compliance rules.
