The MGT Service unit operates in a demanding market environment where reliability, flexibility and speed continue to be keys to excellent performance and with products that are in all stages of their lifecycle. A resilient supply chain with high reliability and timeliness, quality of supply and reducing cost and lead times is essential for how our global customers evaluate us and the results our business generate.
In our Operations organization our mission is to optimize availability and be ready to serve our customers through planned and unplanned service worldwide. The team consists of colleagues with a diverse set of backgrounds and roles who all work together to ensure the availability of spare parts and cores, new and refurbished/repaired.
Adopting to the service business growth and the increasing demand for refurbished and repaired material and solutions we are now investing in a new role, a strategic supply chain management strategist / coordinator where focus lies on securing the service delivery capability for refurbished / repaired products, mid and long term.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a SCM strategist / coordinator in the Service Operations function you play a central role in ensuring the availability of refurbished strategic parts needed for inspections and maintenance on our customers' gas turbines. For the Refurbish/Repair area you will:
- Develop and drive supply chain strategies to ensure efficient delivery capability short, mid and long term
- Align and collaborate with Product Owners and Product Development, Manufacturing and Procurement
- Strive for coordination and optimization through the supply chain
- Communicate and collaborate, act as a bridge between different stakeholders responsible in the E2E delivery chain.
- Engage in problem identification and resolving
- Identify risks and opportunities, seek out bottlenecks and problems that may affect the delivery capability and present / determine solutions.
- Work proactively to prevent problems by analyzing data and trends, through tight collaboration with delivery functions such as workshops and procurement.
- Take accountability for performance monitoring & improvements
- Perform “Health-check” analysis, monitor and report related critical metrics
- Suggest and implement changes based on the analytics and health-check results
- Drive operational excellence/continuous improvements, from ideation to implementation

What You Bring
You are a skilled communicator and collaborator, experienced in working with cross functional tactical and strategic topics. You have good, proven supply chain management experience and set high standards and commit to what you undertake, the goals set.
You have a good business and products understanding and like to work with a customer oriented holistic end-to-end focus through the entire value chain of the business. You excel at understanding the broader context and identifying mutually beneficial outcomes effortlessly.
You are structured and analytical, able to handle comprehensive amount of information to draw conclusions from. You should be comfortable triggering, driving and/or overseeing improvement initiatives triggered by findings and aspirations for the focus area of Supply chain Refurb/repair.
You have a strong interest in customer and people centric organizations such as Service. The range of products, the speed and flexibility we need to operate and to be in sync with the future, triggers and motivates you. Change and change management is not new to you, it is something you navigate quite naturally.
You most likely have a university degree in Logistics or equivalent experience. It is advantageous if you have worked for several years with supply chain management and strategic planning. Knowledge in supply and demand management as well as the ability to think both short- and long-term is a requirement.
