A Snapshot of Your Day

The Project Procurement Manager (PPM) integrates procurement into the project management process and engages with project teams early on, starting from the sales phase. They coordinate all procurement activities in a project under optimum deployment of resources. They implement procurement strategies, seeking to optimize project results, including availability of goods and services in quality, in time, in budget. They ensure compliance with required procurement processes and regulations while reporting on agreed procurement Key Performance Indicators.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be part of a Procurement team providing Project Procurement Management (PPM) support for demands within the Siemens Grid Solution in Sweden
  • Actively lead business projects, managing all sourcing requirements from project kick-off to delivery/installation in collaboration with the Project Team and Operating Procurement.
  • Establish precise sourcing processes, supervise all procurement activities in the project, and provide mentorship to all team members involved to ensure efficient impact for the business. This includes developing procurement plans, target-costing strategies, and addressing budget, availability, delivery requirements, timeline, and quality considerations.
  • Analyze scope of supply, contractual obligations and exactly understand customer’s functional needs. Identify Procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims and market forces during the entire project, together with Project Management, Commercial team, etc. to avoid potential damage / exploit potential.
  • Bid preparation / Contribution to increased hit rate Support project calculation with reliable and up-to-date cost data based on Total Cost of Ownership (ToCO).
  • Derive Procurement strategy for assigned projects in accordance with organization’s Procurement strategies and ensure implementation (pooling or utilization of master contracts).
  • Lead sophisticated contractual and price negotiations and/or support assigned buyers responsible for material fields to secure project targets with optimum conditions.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree with direct experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience within project execution
  • Supply chain management experience is preferred.
  • Resilient and flexible in a dynamic work environment with proven negotiations skills.
  • Cross-functional and cross departmental communication, collaboration, and relationship building with individuals from functional departments across the company and with external suppliers.
  • Experience with Electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with Grid Business Fields is preferred.
  • Must be bilingual in both English and Swedish.

You will join a highly skilled and motivated Nordic Procurement team dedicated to driving Procurement Excellence from the bidding stage to project closure!

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
