A Snapshot of Your Day
In high-temperature measurement environments (up to 800°C), weldable dynamic strain gages play a critical role in the evaluation of structural integrity and dynamic behavior of stationary components. The strain gage of high-temperature model has been extensively used due to its reliability and performance. However, This gage model is no longer part of the standard commercial product and continues to be supplied only through special arrangements. A successor model has been introduced as a new alternative which offers shorter leadtimes and improved performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
As part of the activities you undertake will:
- Test and document a successor strain gage in a laboratory with application of controlled vibrational loading and temperature gradients.
- Analysis of signal quality, drift behavior and compare it to the predecessor.
- Present your results to a global team within R&D Test.
With this assignment you will have the ability to train and improve your problem-solving capabilities by developing skills to transform the theory you will stumble upon during your coursework and pre-study into practice.
