A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Steam Turbine Product Line Sales, you will lead a dedicated team of around 20 individuals committed to delivering outstanding customer service both internally and externally. This includes providing technical proposals, market pricing, inventory management, forecasting, and generating orders annually. Your primary customer segments will include Nuclear Steam Turbines, Steam Turbines in Combined Cycle Power Plants, and Simple Cycle Fossil Steam Turbines.
You will be responsible for Steam Turbine modernizations and upgrades, parts, factory repairs, field services, and product bulletins. The role involves daily resource coordination, collaboration with internal and external partners, and timely resolution of issues, all while maintaining a strong emphasis on simplifying business processes and cost management. Your leadership in promoting an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong customer focus will be crucial in guiding the NA Platform Team and our external customers through all aspects related to Steam Turbine outages.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead teams focused on Steam modernizations, parts, factory repair, field service and product bulletins. The teams are currently located in four different locations.
- Ensure your team provides timely responses to customer requests
- Work hand in hand with the factory to ensure that the team provides forecast needs and works collaboratively to generate additional business
- Work with external vendors such as the Midwest Service Center to provide additional support for factory repair
- Drive margin and revenue growth by determining market level pricing and enhance our bids to provide the customer with value added and comprehensive scopes
- Work with R&D and Inventory Management to ensure that we have the correct stocking of strategic spares
- Lead talent development strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring a pipeline of skilled leaders for the future
- Spearhead team cohesion initiatives that strengthen interdepartmental collaboration and communication, fostering a unified organizational culture.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of energy or related industries experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams, with an ability to establish expectations and drive accountability.
- Expert level interpersonal, organizational, leadership and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to take ownership and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration and project implementation skills.
- Excellent communication – able to listen, extrapolate data and generate forward thinking actions as well as consider alternative thoughts and ideas.
- Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
