A munkakörről
A Snapshot of Your Day
Imagine owning complex gas turbine component development and overhaul projects end-to-end—from initial investment casting through to final assembly—while keeping quality, schedule, and cost firmly on track. As an Engine Overhaul Project Manager, you’ll lead multi-functional, international teams in a fast-paced environment where resilience and proactive decision-making matter every day. You’ll steer project planning, execution, and closure, while bringing clear financial control through budgeting, forecasting, and detailed reporting. Along the way, you’ll influence cost and schedule through vendor selection, risk mitigation, and cost reduction initiatives that drive measurable business results.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You’ll manage the full lifecycle of gas turbine component development and overhaul projects, from planning through closure, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality compliance
- You’ll lead project teams (including virtual, international and cross-functional members) and maintain robust documentation such as plans, status reports, and closure packs
- You’ll own project financial performance by building capital and expense budgets, running forecasts, and delivering detailed financial reporting
- You’ll lead cost reduction (PRIO) projects by engine program and vendor, identifying and implementing savings opportunities
- You’ll manage risk, issues, and stakeholder alignment by partnering across R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Management, and negotiating with internal and external partners to keep delivery on track
What You Bring
- Strong capability across project planning, controlling, and closure, including risk, opportunity, and issue management
- Proven experience in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Technical understanding of gas turbine hot gas parts (blades, vanes) and manufacturing processes such as investment casting, machining, and coating, plus component testing technologies
- Confidence working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies in a dynamic delivery environment
- Fluent English (written and spoken), with strength in cross-functional leadership, stakeholder reporting, and negotiation/influencing
About the Team
You’ll join a team set up to support the GSO business through a newly created FAST repair bay in the Lincoln facility. The group focuses on rapid, hands-on engine repair and breakdown recovery to drive efficiency while maximising material recovery and profit. Alongside workshop work, the team also supports engineering investigation to identify and define future repair opportunities. The scope includes returning engines and buybacks, plus support for major events and site breakdowns when needed. As the department grows, you’ll help shape how the FAST response bay operates and how the workshop environment develops. On-the-job training is available, including building end-to-end engine history, life, and performance understanding through Dynamic Lifing.
