A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Turbine Core Components, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality deliveries from our suppliers. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers and commodity managers, driving qualification and development initiatives. Working in a multicultural environment across local and global teams, your ability to build strong networks will be key to your success.
You’ll be assigned one or more core commodities—castings, forgings, machining, or welding—based on your background and expertise. Leading supplier development projects and managing nonconformance processes, including containment, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions, will be central to your role.
We offer a hybrid work model based in Finspång, combining office presence with flexibility for remote work to support both focused tasks and team collaboration.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead supplier qualification efforts with cross-functional teams, including capability assessments and initial audits.
- Drive Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) in alignment with Siemens Energy standards and quality management tools.
- Monitor and analyze supplier quality performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Initiate and lead supplier development projects to enhance quality and reliability.
- Develop and refine systems, processes, and tools to support supplier quality management.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely and effective corrective and preventive actions across all phases of deviation reporting.
- Analyze quality defect statistics to validate actions and detect recurring issues.
- Support early supplier involvement in product development phases.
- Plan and execute supplier audits regularly.
- Collaborate proactively with global teams and internal stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Experience in machining, castings, coatings, forgings, or welding is highly desirable.
- A technical background with prior experience in R&D or Production Technology is a strong advantage.
- A degree in engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent, with professional experience in project management or similar roles.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and prioritize effectively across the supply chain.
- Proficiency in quality methodologies such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA, and process management.
- Experience in supplier performance monitoring and reporting.
- Results-driven, structured, and commercially aware.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in international environments.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; Swedish is highly meritorious.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
