A Snapshot of Your Day

On a typical day, you will work with colleagues in the Business Areas and in Tax, Accounting & Controlling, Legal & Compliance, Treasury & Corporate Finance, and other Corporate Functions. You will provide expert tax planning advice and legal analysis on a wide range of complex income tax matters to help ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and support Siemens Energy’s financial and business objectives. You will interact with colleagues based in the US company headquarters in Orlando as well as throughout the United States and worldwide!

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Mergers & acquisitions and equity investments.
  • Intragroup restructurings and legal entity rationalization.
  • Proposed and newly enacted/promulgated tax legislation/regulations.
  • Business and financial transactions.
  • Potential tax issues and exposures.

What You Bring

  • Juris Doctorate required. Must be admitted to practice law in one or more states. An LL.M. in Taxation is desirable.
  • 8+ years tax legal experience at a top-tier law or accounting firm, the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Treasury, or in-house at a corporation.
  • Current bar membership is preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based in the District of Columbia. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position if based in the District of Columbia is $148,000 - $212,400 and the annual incentive target is 20% of base salary.   

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
