A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional at Pittsburgh Service Center (PSC), you will play a vital role in the success of our North America service operations. In this role, you will be responsible for EHS programs and training within the tool facility.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide EHS compliance guidance to the PSC management team and perform regular EHS safety observations within the facility.
  • Support incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of Near Miss and incidents, perform incident case management and provide injury updates to PSC management.
  • Provide EHS data as required for Siemens Energy internal reporting.
  • Lead PSC safety programs including daily safety messaging, weekly management-safety inspections, hearing conservation, respirator fit-testing, spill prevention, safety data sheets, hot work, lock-out-tag-out, confined space, hazardous materials, and material handling.
  • Provide and create EHS-related training and maintain records.
  • Develop innovative ways to motivate PSC employees to maintain a strong EHS culture and maintain safe work practices.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred; or combined equivalent of educational/work background. A degree in Safety Science is a plus! Up to 2 or more years of successful relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the EHS concepts and practices. Understanding of OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, EPA, DOT, and applicable State regulations and how these regulations impact our business.
  • Proficient with root cause analysis (RCA) assessment and incident investigation.
  • The ability to identify, escalate, and report complex hazards and risk mitigation to PSC management in a professional manner.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills!
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
