Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in turbine design, focusing on hot turbine blades, guide vanes, and rotor parts. Imagine contributing from conceptual solutions to detailed design, implementation, and service. In this engaging role, you will create detailed CAD models, drawings, and specifications for our products and manufacturing processes. You will provide essential technical support to procurement, external suppliers, and our workshop in Finspång, while also managing fault reports from our service department. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Document design solutions through 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Serve as a technical contact for our service department, suppliers, and our workshop.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop innovative design solutions.
• Conduct or participate in fault and cause investigations to enhance product reliability.
• Lead smaller projects or sub-projects for new and existing turbine products, continuously improving methods and processes.

What You Bring

• A curious and driven individual eager to learn and grow in your field.
• MSc or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in both English and Swedish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A collaborative attitude, valuing teamwork and open communication.
• Experience with 3D CAD and technical drawing is meritorious, and welding skills are a plus.

About the Team

Our department consists of about 50 dedicated individuals, including 16 engineers focused on turbine blade, guide vane, stator construction and rotor design. The turbine group is an integral part of the component organization within gas turbine development, responsible for designing and developing turbine components for our gas turbines, including SGT-600, 700, 750, and SGT-800.
